Re: Annoying things Carol does

She sometimes doesn't appear during an ad break to offer me a chance to pay off all my debts in one consolidated loan. That worries me that credit might not be as freely available as before, and we could be heading for what one might call a "credit crunch" so for that she really annoys me.

Cheers Ralph, I've youtubed it and found a match. I had Elmer Bernstein in my mind, probably because of the Magnificent 7 soundtrack, but it's definitely Hoe-Down

Anyone? I genuinely don't know the answer, so please please please help!

Very strange indeed. The 2-volume Shorter Oxford has no hyphens for PREDATE (either of them, though to be fair only one of them potentially has a hyphen)

I think it's time we had a black person or a female person as host - or better still, both. Are you a black female John? http://i38.tinypic.com/2a4witv.jpg Let's also make her a blind transsexual lesbian uniped, just to cover all bases. Now that's just being discriminatory against deaf people.

Being an octochamp does not necessarily mean you can do 5 second rounds! Hell, it takes me that long to realise the round has started sometimes.

Not that I'm accusing anyone of cheating (well maybe I am) but Thomas Cappleman topping the leaderboard caught my eye today. Upon checking out his game, he got the conundrum in 0.2 seconds - an obvious cheat there. If you're going to cheat, don't get the conundrum faster than reactions allow! I'd l...

Snakes. Not that I'm deathly afraid of them or anything, but in Bristol I was looking around that natural gardens thing with the giant metal sphere outside, saw a snake, then ran as fast as I could along the path. Only after I turned back to make sure it wasn't following me did I realise it was a ra...

You've got the twins the wrong way round, surely? Chas is the younger, so he can be born in August. Dave is older, he can be born in July. 1982 works for me.

Any saucy behind-the-scenes gossip you can share with us? Does it count as gossip that the behind-the-scenes team are absolutely amazing? Well, I'd hoped for more sauce, to be honest, maybe a wardrobe malfunction or two, or an unexpectedly ribald anecdote from Des about an encounter with a transsex...

Darts walk-on music

I need ideas for music to walk on to for county darts matches. 2 clauses on that - nothing with naughty words in, and nothing that any proper professionals use.

Thinking about it, it's only really a bug if it happens against a human, the console has the same messages come up in the same order, and it's Stitcher you're playing against.

When it is the computer's turn to declare first, Optimus Prune is declaring word as soon as the round starts in the observer window - technically I think it's before the human player gets to see the last letter selected. I found this while observing my own game. I think the following is everything r...

Yes. I don't really put much effort in these days. I kind of stopped trying seriously when it became apparent that I was too crap to be invited back for the Champion of Champions. Then in 2006 I proved conclusively I was too crap for Champion of Champions.
