Re: Bug reports
The new "most multitalented letterists" page has numbers scores for the Aegilops column. I thought it was weird that I had no entry for that variant, seeing as I currently hold the joint high score and have probably played it more than anyone else.

Re: Feature requests
How about an item for missing an Aegilops max that is spelt out for you, e.g. declaring OPEN or PENT from the selection PEN? Maybe call it a numbskull (although Dinos and I called it a stupidsuit / stoopidsuit when we missed a couple in our game)?

Re: Official Thread of Brag
Interesting apterday this one. First, I broke the high score for Omelette Conndrum Attack: http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=256665 . Then I had an epic 3 games with Kirk. First, this bullet conundrum attack: http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=256705 . Then, this speed conundrum attac...

Re: Apterous Summer Open 2010
My rating has just (very recently) crept above 1400. Does this mean I'm ineligible unless I purposely lose some points? Otherwise I would like to take part.

Re: Words You Would Have Thought...
MELLOWER http://www.apterous.org/lexplorer.php?g=1&word=mellower&dic=0 ended up costing me the game. On a similar note, *SHALLOWER isn't in. SHALLOWED, SHALLOWING, SHALLOWLY and SHALLOWNESS all are. So it doesn't make much sense to me. NB: Of course Liam could have declared the obvious 7 EE...

The "today's games" times are an hour behind. Maybe it hasn't "sprung forward" yet to British Summertime.

Re: Bug reports
Is there any way of salvaging a game that was lost in a server meltdown? Just I was more than 10 points ahead of Richard Brittain and then it cut off as I clicked "play next round" for the conundrum. The game has now disappeared. It would have been my biggest ever win.

Re: Frustration
I was more than 10 points ahead of Richard Brittain with just the conundrum left and then the server cut off and wiped out our game. First time I ever played him and had overturned huge rating gap (had 4% chance of winning). GRRRRRRRR

Re: Bug reports
After each conundrum solution is entered the game is left "hanging", without showing the solution box, sometimes not even registering the result even though it's told me I've got the right answer, like in this game http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=202282 , where I had to replay a...

Re: Words You Would Have Thought...
"vocoid" It's a phonetic term pertaining to voice. I have seen it quite a few times in written form, and I checked it up in an online dictionary. However, I don't have an up-to-date copy of the OED (and I don't know if it can be viewed online); does anyone know if this word is in there? If...

Same as above; here's another game from The Ovapass where letters weren't max only:

Re: Apterous Masters (formerly COMA) 2010
My qualifying games v Jim Bentley have been put on hold due to rounds frequently not popping up on my screen, which leads to nothing being declared and is obviously a disadvantage for me. I have sent some data to Charlie and he's trying to sort it. If it isn't fixed soon, then we can try to play and...

Re: Bug reports
This game in The Ovapass was listed as "maximums only" in the scoring, but this didn't apply to the letters rounds for some reason (non-maximums scored as well).

Re: Bug reports
This isn't a big problem, but every time I open the Apterous homepage or click on a link to any page within the site, the message "Quick Pester: Would you like to be notified by email (youremail@address) when someone comments on a game in which you participated?" reappears. I have clicked ...
