Re: Spoilers for Friday, 23rd May

Undoubtedly people will be ridiculed thats life. Just be a bit more gentle please :D Hi Lee, I sympathise, it is m...

Re: Spoilers for Tuesday 20th May 2008
I saw CRAPULENT and also TERRIBLE as an equaller for round 2. Wasn't sure yesterday but I think today was definitely a Jeffrey. I'd only just seen the first 3 or so letters when he buzzed.

Possibly but it wasn't crucial so I don't know why he would have done that.If it was kosher it must have been one of the quickest conundrums in history!Joseph Bolas wrote:3rd Numbers Alternative: (100 - (10 - 7)) x (50 / 25)
EDIT: Is it me or was Carl trying to do a Jeffrey by buzzing in before he knew the answer?

No, I don't think SARNIES was mentioned. Not sure if I would have offered it had I been on as I'm the cautious type but found it in the dictionary so I'll know for future reference.Joseph Bolas wrote:SARNIES or was this mentioned .

Re: Greetings
Hi Charlie, Can't see how confirming Richard is in the finals is a spoiler seeing as you are all wishing him good luck for the finals. Thought it was a nice touch letting him know via the forum. Or is that me being a dizzy woman, Corby? Sorry. Wont happen again. Hi Kate, thanks for your email on th...

Well done Jo Brand on that last numbers! I was quite surprised Carol didn't get it though. I got it.

Re: Greetings
Hi, Richard. Welcome to the forum. You know, there's a welcome thread for you to introduce yourself, but that's ok. Welcome anyway. You did a great job on Countdown by the way. Hi Jason, wasn't aware of the thread. That's typical of me to jump in without looking. Never mind. Where do I find the thr...

Re: Spoilers for Wednesday 26th March
I like how Richard has taken to leaning over towards Des and enunciating every word in a ridiculously exaggerated fashion (presumably to avoid any more mishearing comedy.) This was particularly amusing with the phony nine. Yes, this seems mildly embarrassing having watched the shows, and it was ind...

Re: Best ever contestants
I'd rate Natascha Kearsey as one of the best female contestants ever, if nothing else. To me that one's between her, Kate Ogilvie and Joyce Cansfield. It's a shame neither she or Joyce competed in the ladies' championship a few years ago which Kate won over Hilary Hopper. So up to the supreme champi...

Re: Spoilers for Tuesday, 15th April
I thought that was going to go to the wire, bit disappointed we didn't get a crucial conundrum. Nice to see 2 ladies facing off - I can't remember the last time that happened. I love Jo Brand's "words" - wish she could have been on my shows!
