I am managing to input at leat one numbers round per game now, but I still think a bit of friendly practise will help. If you have fewer than 5 games played, the program will put you into Friendly Mode automatically. Looking at the database I see you have exactly 5 games played so you've now passed...

I suggest practising in Friendly Mode, which disables the timers. That should probably be the default for new players, or something. The next event after COLEI is COLIN, which is in January (normally around the last Saturday of the month). I suspect most Countdown contestants that go on the show and got 30 average 100 at home when the pressures off, but they've never played under pressure before. Definitely the end of an era, Jason. Richard's sad, untimely, death meant that his departure in 2005 was a great shock to us all. At least we will be prepared for Carol's leaving for pastures new. PRONER and PRONEST should be in. Yes - the Coundown rules do make for some odd-sounding allowable words :) If an adjective is a single syllable, then the '..ER' comparative and '..EST' superlative are allowed, even if they're not specified in the dictionary. Hence, e.g. BADDER and BADDEST and GOODE...
