Just played a Numbers Attack against Apterous Prime - he beat me 190-180 after a crucial conundrum, damn him for his impudence. Anyway, does that mean that if we'd both been a little bit better, we could've been 200-200 after twenty rounds, so 210 is actually the best possible score?

Aye, I got the two-volume Shorter Oxford, but then got the ODE2 in the post some time afterwards (but still before it came into force on the show). I can't remember if this was because it wasn't out yet, or because they'd run out of copies of the NODE to give to contestants.

I love the Daily Duel, but blimey, today's was a bit brutal. And yet I still quite enjoyed it, in a funny way. The greatness of the Daily Duel is that it can be a different format every day - there's been loads of weird formats that I'd never have tried otherwise, and novelty is always good.

I'm stuck in two games against bots at the moment - when I resume, all I can choose is vowels, there's no "consonants" button, so the round can't start. Strange, as all was working fine an hour ago.
