Re: First impressions of Anne

Only interested in ratings if there is some context. Is 410,000 Anne's first show? How does that compare to normal? How does it compare to Nick / Jeff / Des's shows? Now that she has been in the job a few weeks, how are the ratings? How do her average ratings over this week compare to an average wee...

That can't be a coincidence. Wonder how long Damian had that up his sleeve? (if you'll excuse the potentially graphic reference)

Don't worry Gevin, I'll make it work. :)
Feedback is positive from the contestants themselves thus far, so that's the main thing.

But I acknowledge your inability to understand it, and you have my sympathies.

Re: The C4C Football Thread

It is a time-honoured tradition in the finals of international football tourneys. You have to have a massive favourite eliminated, there's gotta be a plucky underdog that gets to the semi-finals (and at the Euros - sometimes even goes on to win the whole thing!), and you have to have a much fancied...

At each stage I made predictions here.
I called 4/8 QFists, 3/4 SFists, then 2/2 finalists, and now 1/1 winner.

Pretty simple.

Controversial peno!

I wonder, had the peno not happened, would England's relentless pressure have lead to 2-1 within the final 15 mins anyway?
If not, I would fancy Shhh-Michael over Miskickford for penalty saves.

Ok, well... the logic here is multi-faceted. Firstly, it has been annoying that my innate anti-English racism is scuppering my prediction rate. Nick was absolutely terrible at first (remember his first "critical countdown conundrum"? lol)... but in the end was an affable pair of safe hands... and the genuine camaraderie between himself and the girls was palpable.

She's lucky there is no live audience, as they tend to clap an impressive word from time to time. The order should always be:- Short word -...
