I've been away for ages, but wow yes. The best I've ever seen on the numbers. Has he actually dropped any points on the numbers yet? I can't think of any. I remember Mike Pullin from Series 47 being unbelievable on the numbers, this guy is better.

I've often pointed out that there's a high proportion of left-handed Countdown champions. Julian Fell was the first one that came to mind. I've never actually counted (that would be really difficult) it's just an observation.

Well, this version was published in 1998. Searching for "percent" on Google books between 1500 and 1998 gets 188,536 hits (English only) while "percent" gets 157,600 (English only). So even before 1998, percent was the more common spelling. When I say 'per cent' it makes me pause...

Definitely should risk REIMPOSED when 50 points ahead to try and get a score over 130, methinks. Kirk doesn't look like an absolute certainty now. This could be the best contest since Gallen vs. Tournoff, if they both make it through.

Mark Allen is about 90/1 before the start of this session... to win the tournament! Surely this is a prime example of bookies giving odds that are too short. Given the current score in his match, and the fact that he then has to win the final, would he do that 1 time in 91? I don't think so.

Actually a bit like Black Adder, the first few series were pretty average; a lot of talk and almost no action. Series 3-6 were probably the best, with the Gunmen of the Apocolypse (sp?) being voted the best ever episode.

Why do I have an urge for pink schapps. No serious that's a lovely outfit, I think with her blond hair and pale complexion light pastel colours and white suit her well, such as the floral dress yesterday and the peach "Dorris Day" dress today. Oh and it was a good game too!

I annoyingly only dropped one point on the letters and numbers, but failed to get any of the conundrums. OMBUDSMEN was really hard, PARALYTIC was also hard but at least it's a common word. And STRONGISH, yeah I should have got that but with only two vowels so the -ING ending looked unavoidable.
