Re: 2025 FOCAL calendar
Braintree won't be taking place in November 2025, and is very unlikely to take place at all in 2025. I have earmarked a June slot and have tentatively enquired about a venue in Southampton. It would be a traditional Lincoln-style event. Jeff Thanks Jeff. I'll add this into the calendar as a pencill...

Re: Co-Event Suggestion Box
I guess my main suggestion now would be to go back to 6 rounds as opposed to 8 in lincoln. I know i'm part of the problem why it became 8 but 8 every now and then is better than 8 as the norm. Blackpool was refreshing with 6, I've actively started to feel myself enjoying it less with the more games...

2025 FOCAL calendar
This is a provisional calendar for the confirmed events in the 2025 FOCAL season as of Tuesday, 10th September 2024 , which will be updated as new events are announced. As things stand, next year's calendar is looking near-identical to this year's, albeit with some shuffling around. We have a spread...

Weirdly, the X is missing from at least two of the card sets used at the co-events as well (said sets haven't been used since I discovered this). A glitch in the matrix?

Re: Request for event conundrum setters!
Conundrums with people's names in it are great fun at a co-event (a proper one with divisional QFs and a big screen showing selections). I do it every year, and will never stop. Not when the name in the scramble belongs to someone present at the event, they're not. I learned that from last year's B...

Please please don't set conundrums with one of the players names in. Lots of people know at least some of the scrambles with their name, and it gives a huge potential advantage to that player.
