Re: Anne Robinson to leave Countdown

What do you reckon is filling 35 episodes between beginning of November and Christmas then? The remainder of Series 86…. once a permanent host has been chosen. Well that doesn't fit with Colin's "end of season" comment, but maybe I did get prematurely excited! Excellent news, time to star...

Re: Special Spoilers for Wednesday 23 December 2020

Great game both, and everyone this week. Shame the max wasn't friendlier today, but obviously solid play throughout. It's interesting that Colin described Jack as being one of the absolute best of all time. Obviously it is completely true in non-televised Countdown, but on just televised form there...

Re: Special Spoilers for Wednesday 23 December 2020

Great performance from both players today, well done guys. I believe Conor maintains his ridiculously long streak of maxes on letters rounds. I know most people probably wanted to see the Conundrum go solved, but I do think a crucial going all the way to 30s make for more exciting TV :) Between URI...

I mean that was probably scheduled long before ZoomDown existed looking at when it was filmed.

Shame the shout-out for it was mentioned in real countdown in today's episode, rather than yesterday before the final though.

Re: Special Spoilers for Tuesday 22 December 2020

It seems that Rachel accidentally wore her smutty joke 8/10 Cats Does Countdown Christmas jumper on real Countdown. Good spot. Although, I'd doubt it would be accidental at all given how fussy CD apparently are about what you wear on the show. (Only something I've heard second hand though, so proba...

Re: Special Spoilers for Monday 21 December 2020

And the other thing I meant to say - does Colin use autocue and Nick solely rely on cards? [Removed autocue comment as Countdown Team have answered. Thanks to them - good info to know. ] The one thing regarding Colin Murray taking over is would Countdown be able to avoid filming during major snooke...

No need to hide at all. You're not the only one.

I'd be surprised if Colin's able to do it full time though with all of his other presenting commitments though. As nice as it would be.

Catsdown - Why the Small Dictionary?

This is probably an overly pedantic thing for what is a comedy show, but felt like raising it anyway (apologies if it's already been discussed) Watching some old 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown episodes and noticed they still use the physical dictionary as opposed to the online dictionary - just che...
