Well done to Dave! Wow, three in a row, I think that's the high point thus far of this Series... I only have one thing to say today: Rachel's comment on "kicking youselves" in R9 shouldn't be really applied in this sort of situation (I mean, the average contestant won't think of 18 x 51 immediately....

Commiseations Stephen, but you did do well, in fact you now have the highest score in this Series without a win so far, so if that's any consolation for you. :) Like Tom, I have to mention Dave was seriously on fire today, especially in the Numbers, Round 6's solution was very obscure IMO and he got...

Re: Spoilers for 13th June 2018

Poor Darren, a late night recording plus him unsucessfully risking words did him in eventually, indeed what an EMOTIONAL end to the Prelims of Series 78. Alright with that, here are some stats I thought I'd share based on the 110 Episodes we had thus far in comparison to Series 77: 1. More contestan...

Re: Series 78 Finals Predictions (Contains Spoilers!)

The point is that with your current scoring everyone should pick who they think is going to win, and then say that they'll win by infinite points. That way if you're right you get infinite points, and if you're wrong you lose nothing. The system last time was that Martin put some predictions to sta...

Re: Spoilers for Tuesday 12th June 2018 (Series 78, Prelim 109)

Only one more show before the finals! Yes I know we're all excited, unlucky Darren, he could've gotten 480 in R6 if he had spotted (2 + 3) x 4 to take off 500, so much for Rachel's method though... I have to agree with Nick that it wasn't really an open goal in R14...you should refer to R9 for that...

Re: Series 78 Finals Predictions (Contains Spoilers!)

QF1: Tom Chafer-Cook vs Graeme Staples (Prediction: 50 Points) (Actual: 45 Points) (Score: 50-45=5 Points) If I understand this correctly, if you predicted Tom to win by a million and 45 points, you'd get a million points. That is technically correct, although I must admit no one is going to win wi...

Re: Spoilers for Monday 11th June 2018 (Series 78, Prelim 108)

Just watched the episode after a day's delay in China... I do have to say I feel sorry for Claire...she probably was nervous...and you could probably tell that as well...oh well another one bites the dust but since it's before the Finals I'm sure she won't think about her loss too much...unless of c...

What do you mean would we like his game?
I mean if you all would like to play his game which he had in Series 77 which is what I posted. Oh, once the final start airing, you cannot change our predictions as well!

Re: Series 78 Finals Predictions (Contains Spoilers!)

Alright let's not go too off-topic please. If you guys would like Martin Hurst's game like I mentioned in my original post, here are the rules and instructions and if you're still confused, I will provide examples from the last Series: 1. Guess how much the difference between both players are for th...

Dougie lost to Mac, not George.
Thanks Zarte, I have corrected it. Sorry I wasn't referencing the Wiki for this part, and best of luck when you're against Jan! :)

Re: Spoilers for Tuesday 5th June 2018 (Series 78, Prelim 104)

Is it not before 11th or 12th of June? Cause remember if mick gets 5 wins but a higher score than Jan and loses the 6th on the 12th, he can still be in the finals right? But if he wins the next six he'd have to carry on to s79 and Jan would keep her 8th seed position right? I apologise for who I'm ...

Re: Spoilers for Tuesday 5th June 2018 (Series 78, Prelim 104)

I had no idea Mick was on previously...Nick didn't even mention it, unlike John Owens if you can remember earlier in the Series where he mentioned the fact he was on before! And I've uploaded photos for comparison...seems like Mick hasn't really aged in 21 years! :) John and Anthony Jenkin, another ...
