Re: Deathwatch 2018

Tbh the news of Avicii's death made me feel physically sick because he is probably the first artist to die who I have seen evolve musically and then this happens- completely shocked me. Avicii is very well known amongst the teenager/young generation community and will forever have some great songs....

Re: Spoilers for Wednesday 18th April 2018 (Series 78, Prelim 72)

Very good standard again today- Masha putting on a super performance considering English is not her first tongue. Mac on the other hand did beat me twice in the letters, and is probably kicking himself for missing 399 earlier on, but he got the win. After that show, think he can definitely go on to ...

Don't think that Mr Mac will become an octochamp because he faces someone familiar to this thread and forum in his 7th or 8th show should he make it. But the standard was good, Dougie deserves to be in the final-seems like a nice and likeable chap. We will have to see regarding Mack....

If number of points were used, I think the finals stages would be too predictable. "Twists" like that generated by the current system are what make Countdown finals stages all the more exciting, IMO. (SPOILERS) The Countdown Scoring System.

Hi all, this has probably been mentioned before, but today we saw Dougie Mackay eliminated in an unfortunate fashion, giving him a new record of the highest 7-time winner score. Although it is very likely we will be seeing him in the finals, it would not be impossible to see him not make it given th...

Re: C4C/apto/Countdown Dreams

Had a dream recently which featured a young, mid 20-s to mid 30-s Asian male player, who on his debut beat Joyce Phillips, despite playing rather averagely (which is no representation of Joyce's real ability :) ). However, the day after he smashed it beating Ray Wilding with a score in the 120s to R...
