I was screaming for an I in R4 for SEALPOINT. But some are just like that. Left UNTRASHED in the UNTHREADS round so a good false anagram to remember.

Spoilers for 22nd January 2018

Very good play by Chris today, who is certainly octo-champ material, and the best player we've seen this year, I do doubt as to whether he will be unseated for a while. Terry was consistent enough on the letters, but Chris was on good form today. Admittedly, I lost a few points to him on 2 longer wo...

Was anyone else rather enraged when Chris went 6 small, given the circumstances? Very glad Rachel managed to come through on that one. Don't really see a problem with it. Nothing was really at stake. Why do you? I think if the sum was a simple 6S, then maybe people would not be moaning, but as it w...

On any other day, I'd be very happy with my scores, but missing CRAFTIEST and TRANSPIRE were bad points for me. Shame Mary didn't go any further, but Chris is a very good player and I am sure he will do well in the games to come.
My scores for today:

MISFARED in Round 8 for me! Yep, I got this too :) Mary's certainly able to hold her own, her only let down is her massive conundrum fallibility - she's not solved any and it's not as if she's had difficult conundrums either. Still, I reckon she's probably capable of octoing, and would love to see ...

Mary's had some solid scores over these past 3 games, we'll have to see how she does as the games go by. Admittedly, her numbers are better than her letters, and I did miss the 831 sum, which I shouldn't have  , which meant that she did come within a crucial margin after that point, but I did ...
