It didn't seem to me like he was lying. He looked too proud of it. Also most things that go through Jeff's earpiece also go through Susie's, and she looked genuinely surprised by SIDEBURN, so I think he probably did get it. It could all be a ruse, of course.

Re: Funniest episode of Countdown, ever
I'm not talking about literal policing. But what I find more tiresome is when someone posts something (that may be rubbish or may not) and someone criticises it, there then seems to be a whole barrage of people (the "forum police") that can't wait to join in and say exactly the same thing...

I know everybody expects Kirk's games to being amazing but to kill a series champion like this is quite amazing. http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=20911 I think people have said before, if Damian were to allow one person back who lost first time out, Kirk should be the number one candidate....

Was wondering whether you reckon it'd be possible to just memorise all the possible solutions for 4 big numbers. I highly doubt anybody would ever do it, but do you think it's actually possible? Since there are only finitely many solutions I have no doubt it is possible. However it is extremely lik...

This is the right thread to post this in! I guess all the posts in this thread show the difference between praising and panning. What is panning and praising? These are verbs which mean to criticise (usually something arts-based, like a TV gameshow) and to compliment respectively. How very tedious.

Lynam had a hilariously deadpan way of dealing with the humourless drip that was Richard Brittain. Other than that, he was alright. My order would be:
1. RW
2. Des
3. Deso
Obviously I've seen much less of Stelling but he looks to me to be right out of the Whiteley mould.
