What's this nonsense with the fake going high on the 4-large? If you're doing e.g. 75×50/25, you don't start with 75×50. Poor form. If I've got this right, 75x50=3750 3750/25=150 is poor form, when you could say 75/25=3 3x50=150. But 75/25=3 3x50=150 when you could say 100+50=150 is OK? If you're s...

I got to 845 very easily with (75 + 8 + 8 - 6) x 10 - 5. Surprised Tom didn’t see this!
Much easier to sit at home and say this though - in the studio with the intense pressure, I wouldn't exactly say it's really all that bad a miss.

Very great game from both - Bra victorious yet again! :D

MOUCLADES in r2.

Can honestly say that is the toughest conundrum I think I have ever seen - would not have got that in 100 million years!

Terrific play from both today - especially Philip but also to Jonathan, you've been terrific to watch and a great sportsman until the end. No shame in losing to Philip at all.

Round 2: “I’ll stick with an eight.”

What was the (presumably invalid) nine you were chickening, Bradley?
fluorates I assume.

"And a better one"....grrr…..our friendship is over :(

amazing game though, double century game indeed! Bra playing exceptionally well especially with that con spot, but well played to Andrew too - really gave him a run for his student loan there.

The reason this game is the best I've seen is that jacket of Zarte's… 8-)

Re: Spoilers for Tuesday 8th January 2019 (COC XV, game 5)

Wow. Absolutely brilliant from both. Real shame any of you had to lose. Paul was the person who really got me interested heavily in countdown and to see him lose was in part gutting. However, Zarte held his nerve, really played excellently and was the deserved winner. It's almost like the Isner-Mahu...

Fabulous game from both - really countdown at its best. NOWHAT and GAIATRIS were particularly impressive spots (anyone for a "best COC spots" thread?)
Both of you are great sports and create an enjoyable atmosphere - can see this COC really being one to remember!

Re: Spoilers for Thursday 3 January 2019 (COC XV, game 2)

What a terrific game, that might be the best game I've ever watched in terms of enjoyment - really could have gone either way and it's a great shame anyone had to lose that. Ann, if you're reading, commiserations on just falling short of victory, but considering the screams in the crows when you sol...
