Re: Spoilers for Tuesday 11th December 2018 (Series 79, Prelim 118)

LUPINES is valid on Apterous. But I just looked it up in the (free version of the) dictionary and it says the noun LUPINE is the US spelling of LUPIN. But if you go to LUPIN it says that LUPINE is North American, which should be allowed (as North American is distinct from US).

Re: Brexit- what next.

My preferred option would be a second referendum at this point. I think the original referendum was absolutely ridiculous because it wasn't remotely clear what leaving would entail - and it isn't even now to be honest. If you're going to hold referendums, they can really only be on the simplest of i...

Re: What TV programmes have you been watching lately?

Sorry, that I used my least favourite figure of speech, evidently, I can wait but hopefully you knew what I meant. Although in this modern age the time and date of a program has almost become irrelevant with the various forms of catch up TV available. Although I'm still pissed off that the BBC' did...

Re: What films have you watched lately?

After watching a recording of his stand up, I decided to watch Click for the umpteenth time. It is a perfect blend of comedy and tragedy Nobody could watch the scene with Henry Winkler near the end and not be moved to tears. ( The gauntlet is thrown Gevin ) I'm just crying at the thought of the Fonz.

Re: Celebrations - a ranking

OK, there are expensive small chocolates, but Roses and Quality Street are not that, so I could have added that in to the explanation.

Maybe you have a couple of points to consider, but I would be interested to know if sales had fallen since the introduction of Celebrations and Heroes.

I don't think they do at all. For me, Roses/Street are much cuter, have more tradition/emotion tied to them, and, on a far more logical level of judgement, provide a lot more variety which is the whole point of these sort of boxes right? Well, I think it's just that Roses/Quality Street chocolates ...
