CJ can be an acquired taste. It appears to be an act when he's insulting the opposition, as he's usually fairly polite at the end. I have known him for years (through chess) and he can be really nice, sometimes a little grumpy!

David is right - the ECF Grading System has indeed changed - see the English Chess equivalent of this forum for about 20 pages of comments! Conversion to FIDE is now ECF x 8, then add 650. So 100 = 1450 150 = 1850 200 = 2250 etc. The FIDE system is a bit inflationary, so players have to be over 2600...

I didn't really like Peter Cushing, mainly as the first thing I saw him in was as Sherlock Holmes. Then I bought his autobiography (as it was a signed copy), and after I read it, I had completely changed my mind. And he was pretty good in other stuff, even a Laurel and Hardy film!
