Howard has explained how to work it out step by step, but I think because theres quite a bit of bruce force required to solve this, most have decided not too. My Bad. I remember saying in the mailing list about a solver that can find all possible numbers (from 1 - 1000) that can be solved with the 6 numbers. The Countdown Lite program designed by Jerry Humphreys has that feature too.

I think that cooked cheese (especially that really orange Cheddar) smells uncannily like vomit. I have been to 4 of these CO-events now, I believe, and the only part I dread is lunchtime. I just can't get up the confidence to start any conversations or contribute to one going on. I can relate to that to some extent, Joseph. Being naturally shy myself, I often feel the same in new environments...

What you could do is start off with the total episode number then the individual series and episode numbers and then the date in brackets, so for example, have something like:

When considering the one-off specials would any contestants actually get a teapot because the eventual winner would not be on the next show? I think the most a contestant can get is 2?

You get one for winning any number of games from 1-8 for sure, but do you also get one in your goodie bag for losing in the QF's, SF's or Final?

The numbers aren't so important; at worst you'll lost 30 points , but you can get that back from 4 or 5 of the 11 letters rounds, and that's before you consider 9-letter words or the conundrum. I disagree with that. If you have letter selections where there are no 9's and there are no obscure words...
