CoManche 2017 Puzzles (and solutions)

Hey guys, Just in case anyone who couldn't attend was interested (I know of one or two), I (and Jack Hurst - thanks! http://jackhurst.co.uk/blog/ ) did a few puzzles for Countdown in Manchester 2017. Here are the puzzles; http://imgur.com/a/4983E (note; only about a month late, but I just noticed a ...

A Cry for Help (puzzles wanted!)

Hey guys! We're planning a puzzle booklet for Countdown in Manchester 2017. There's a few cool countdown-related ideas we have, but writing puzzles isn't really my forte and there's some space to fill. If anyone has any ideas for puzzles which you feel may fit (there's not really any restrictions on...

"The transgender girl" isn't really necessary, she has this handy thing that you can use to more easily identify her - it's called a name.

Wow. That poll is brutal.
Interestingly differs significantly from my findings - I did a survey about a year ago which received 43 responses - 53.5% in favour of Lincoln and 46.5% in favour of Bristol.

Countdown in Manchester - 11th March 2017

Hi everyone! We're very happy to announce that 2017 will bring the first ever Countdown in Manchester, hosted by Series 66 champion Jack Worsley, and Series 73 non-champion Matty Artell. The games will take the familiar Lincoln format. In each round, each player will play two games and host one, for...

I'd be mildly surprised if your database can answer this, so I leave it as an exercise to anyone who studies bus timetables. The bus I'm currently on stops in both Worsley and Pendleton. (Looking forward to being inside both of them). Is this the bus route with the most apterite surnames?

Awesome stuff. I think the line-up falls largely in line with people's predictions. Obviously no Garner or Monaghan, but their inclusion was speculative (and we don't know who if anyone declined their invitations). So who are the early favourites? Anyone willing to do an entire 15-match prediction?...

I suppose a good analogy would be the difference between 1 really strong person trying to lift a car and 10 normal people trying to lift a car, compared to 1 person and a car compared to 10 people and 10 cars. Sort of.
