Re: How many countries have you been to?

Ooh, I just noticed there's a leader board! So, on the basis that I'll never get into the top 3 on any other Countdown scoreboard, I offer mine: UK (4/4), Ireland, France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Italy, Vatican City, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Greece, Cyprus, Netherlands, Montenegro, Croatia, Austr...

Re: Countdown in Brinsworth 2019

Hi everyone I decided yesterday that I’d wait a bit before replying to give me time to reflect on what’s been said. It’s one of the hazards of online chat with strangers that we’re left guessing what the person behind the message is really like. We’re reliant on what they tell us about themselves in...

Re: Countdown in Brinsworth 2019

Just in case you are an 11 year old boy, I will reply one more time, but this is my final word about it. First of all, you told us you were a child, then you told us that you were much older and pretending to be a child, and now you have just told us that you are in fact a child. The members of this...

Ashton Until now, I have chosen to ignore your posts but as you have sent me 2 private messages in the space of a few hours marked ‘Important’ I will reply, but in open forum so that other community members can read what I have said to you. Despite you telling me ‘please you need to apply’, I will n...

Yes, that's where I was going with it, Philip - having had toddlers with 'painty' fingers there could be a competition for who had the 'paintiest' Thanks, Fiona

Hi Maus - any chance you could change the year please? Not sure it'll let me do it. I thought this was one of those historic catch-ups :D

Re: What films have you watched lately?

Just seen Bohemian Rhapsody. Superb biopic. Rami Malek was unbelievable, the music was great the choreography first class and although they took a few liberties with the timeline, the Live Aid climax was spot on. If you like Queen or music biopics you will love it Agreed - superb. Rami Malek's port...

That's interesting - do you know why they're doing that?

Noel, I remember the time you 'went large' on a really easy numbers round just for the fun of it. That was great entertainment and the true spirit of Countdown. Wish I'd been there to see your CoC performance in person (quiet, you smutty lot!) but I look forward to seeing it on the small screen. Hop...

Count me in for the Saturday event. Anyway, who says Hykeham isn't Lincoln? It's close enough. And Cohyk, albeit a lovely name, isn't quite as catchy as Colin. Will pay by PayPal later. Got to get practising, So far behind on watching the programmes that I'm only up to the episode where Bob Lunt wen...

Re: Special event for former contestants?

Terrible idea. That co-event with 4,000 people was an utter shambles. The event started on time at 11am, with 3,998 people present, Tom Carey at home having got the date wrong, and Anthony Endsor wandering round a similarly-named town a hundred miles away. So far so average, but things went downhil...

Re: Spoilers for Thurs 5th July 2018 (S79, prelim 8)

I don't think I've ever seen an alternative/DC beater before that no-one else has posted. Today, I knew that my moment had arrived. Now it feels like I've just walked into a roomful of strangers and shouted 'Fellatio!' You have no idea how liberating that is.
