Re: Best lexico example sentences

This one's quite evocative https://www.lexico.com/definition/ptomaine ‘Being in town, I warily went along to the Colorado Ballet's production of The Nutcracker, a ballet I normally prefer only slightly to ptomaine poisoning.’ (You know you've spent too long on apto when you both spot ptomaines and ...

Tom has nerves of steel with these consecutive crucials! Unfortunate for Marwan today, who seemed a tidy player, to gandiseeg the conundrum.

Susie's definition of HENTAI was suitably censored for a daytime audience!

From the look of Dinos there, I suspect he wanted his opponent to have the nine as well so he could have proudly said “Nick, we both have ERECTIONS”.

Astonishing play from both. Tom almost looked guilty for taking the points for TIRAMISUS knowing the record was up for grabs.

And so it’s Zarte-Phil III tomorrow. Will it break the curse of the threequel?

Top work Zarte. All the hard work paid off. What came across to the viewer was, despite the fact that on one level you must be aware just how good at the game you are, you were still humble and seems to enjoy every moment. Difficult to tell for certain, but you seemed quite emotional at the end there!

As a dentist Martin, I have to say all of my patients...

Out of interest, was there more discussion as to whether it should be allowed or not that missed the cut? There were a couple in my games, and I've begun to find it intriguing the differences between the studio and what we see on screen.

I did the phone audition and got on despite ballsing up both the numbers, if that helps to add to the debate. I did feel rather sorry for Jenny as she really deserved to be closer at the end, as both FLOUNCE and the messed-up numbers gave me a larger lead than my performance really warranted. Final Preparations

So, I'm on the last episode filming on Monday. I've done a fair bit of preparation. I've played a fairly obscene amount of games on Apterous, and pitted myself against the recaps on here when away from my PC. I've learnt a few common stems, brushed up on my times tables and consumed what is possibly...

Re: Post your audition/filming/transmission dates here

Having successfully negotiated the phone audition a month or so ago, I received the call with a filming date yesterday.

I'm on the last show being filmed on 13th January. I now live in hope that no other Apterites are on that day- in which case I might have a chance!
