The alternatives being to say "oh no, I'm wrong" or give your corrected answer and then tell Nick you thought it was something else before you buzzed? (somewhat like the case with Richard Whiteley).
She had to make her decision quickly and may have regretted it after, specially if it had been crucial.

Anyone else noticed that when we see letters selections on tv during the 30 seconds, the outside edges of the end letter tiles are cut off, so those letters don't appear in the middle of their tiles?

875 = 50 × 7 × (8 − 6) × 5 ÷ 4 Maybe Rachel saw this late. Can't help thinking that multiplying by 2 and dividing by 4 is a sub-optimal solution. Maybe showboating? It was basically 50/2 × 35. If you're not showboating you'd divide by 2 first and never go above the target. Maybe she did see it late...

In cases like this it's nice to see what the subtitler put - which was torturous, but then I guess that's not conclusive.

ratwig is not valid by the way in case anyone was wondering. It might seem obvious, but they should have been explicit and not put it on the board! There was another game involving weights, just seen it again on Challenge. There are 5 hooks, up to 4 units distant from the balance pointer at the centre of the scales, and 5 weights of varying units. Instructions are to multiply distance by weight. I've always interpreted 'between' as not including perimeters - but then 'between you and me' there are exceptions ;)

Alternate final numbers, still using standard method: (25 + 75) * 8 - 4 * 7 - 1. I did that as well.
