I still can't help feeling that Alan would have been a serious contender for the semi-finals had he not come up against Giles. Fantastic non-apto contestant, one of the best imo.

Dylan Taylor and Josh Hurst are either this series or next series.

Zarte Siempre is on next series, as is Jen Steadman I think.

However great play from both contestants, thoroughly enjoyable. Looks like we've got a cracking finals to look forward to.

A couple of Countdown related things I've been pondering.... Is it possible to have a legitimate letters selection where the max is a 2 (or 1) letter word? Perhaps something like... I used to do that, but when you get series like S67 where there were 7 octochamps, playing the same people for 56 episodes does become slightly more boring than it used to. I like variety.
