I don't think it's a massive issue, but I do suspect that a good number of contestants would prefer not to have biographical information out there. I understand that people consented to be on TV and have their information broadcast to the nation (and potential for the rest of time on cable channels)...

I think the 30th birthday seies inspired a lot of interest and flushed out a lot of Apterites and enthusiasts who applied and ended up in series 69 together. There were probably 20 players who could realistically have won another weaker series in that series.

Looks like I miscounted my first post- that had 23 countries not 22, so I'm up to 28. Dundalk are back in the Champions League qualifiers in summer 2019 so here's hoping for Scandinavia or the Baltics!

It seems to be quite variable Eoin. If you're waiting for one of the sit-down auditions in Dublin they only happen once of twice a year. I think I was 3-4 months waiting to record and another 2-3 months to air.
