Well Jeff managed SS and Countdown for three years, and only dropped Countdown when Richard Keys proved to the world what a bellend he was. He could easily do both

Love this. Les Dennis was actually my late Grandmother's suggestion to take over from Richard back in 2005. Reckon he'll be natural at it, but not sure whether he'd want the role permanently since he seems to do more acting than presenting these days

I must have been switched on that round, I had an obscure 8 in PEASECOD before seeing the 9. Jason declared PISSER in R1 but was asked to retake with a nicer word! Hence the bad cut where Nick told Jason his gamble paid off. Surely they could have just bleeped it, like with GOBSHITE a few weeks ago...

I think people overuse the term 'Hansfording' a bit. What Hansford actually did in his series finals (in which he did in fact try it every time) was buzz in immediately , before he or his opponent could even plausibly have read the letters, and thus deprive his opponent of a fair chance to beat him...
