What about the %max record, which some might see as more important than the total score? By my reckoning, if Jack wins with 120 points today, he'll take the record as long as he drops no more than 18 points against the max. Without meaning to be too much of a downer, I think he's just barely missed...

Clearly if that works for you then there's no arguing with that, but I think for many people it would be easier to get inflections right by associating a meaning with a word and working it out logically from there (as you would do naturally) than by painstakingly memorising "verb/adjective/noun...

Personally I don't think I'd like this much, it's nice to be able to use the full time in duels to deliberate and check your answer and stuff without fear of it costing you. But I suppose as long as it's made clear that conundrum time matters, it's fair.
