R5 : 453 with a little cheating, use of powers. Novelty value why not.

4^(2+1)*7+5 = 453.

Re: Obscenity democracy

I'm of the opinion that it is very difficult to offend someone, it is only possible for them to make the choice to become offended. Much of how people respond to things is simply a learned response, copied off other people or acting the same as they did last time. They want to be offended it's up to...

4 maxes for me this time, lowest in quite some time. Never heard of LOUVRED, SMIDGEON with the "O" or WINDSLAB.

Novel version of R14

75/5 = 15
15- 8 = 7
(50 + 1 ) * 7 = 357

R13: IMBUES

Not a maximum but the only 6 I see. MUMMIES is an interesting one, with 3 M's out of the 4 in the whole consonant stack not exactly a common word.

Junaid is certainly giving me some good games from home. A lot of fun.

Re: Wednesday 17th September 2008, Series 59 Game 43

Hmm, The human condition is endlessly interesting in all it's various shapes sizes and guises. You wanna post a link, post a link and I should certainly take a look behind it. Communication breakdowns and such are common amongst everyone, if we realise this we should be able to make them easier to d...

Re: Spoilers for Monday 22nd September

I just realised I was supposed to recap today. I've been rather involved with Series 49 and the small matter of the present day totally slipped my mind. Would anyone like to step in and save my blushes? Consider your bushes shaved. It's done. 195 = 5 to go... good stuff. Had an interesting game tod...

Re: Wednesday 17th September 2008, Series 59 Game 43

If you want, I can send you a link that explains why I have so much trouble communicating with some of you. Let me know if you'd like me to send it to you! If there's one thing the human condition offers to even the most casual of observers it's variety. It is, I think more worthy a pursuit to cons...

Re: Wednesday 17th September 2008, Series 59 Game 43

I'm not sure what the typical figure is, but I believe that our communications with someone stood in front of us, a surprisingly small amount of what we communicate is through our words. Intonation, rising and lowering tones (like French people raise the tone at the end of a sentence to indicate a q...

Re: CoC XIII Discussion Thread

I wonder are there recording dates for the CoC yet?

Might be worth a visit. When a previous CoC was announced I got tickets for 5 of us... for 10th May 2005. Of course being immediately after series 53 we know what happened there.

200 Reviews... and bowling out.

Hiyo everyone... Hope all is well. If you check out http://www.apterous.org/cdb/sitestats.php you'll see that with the most recent games included I'm on 192 reviews. My inclination is to stop at 200. I wondered if anyone wanted the Friday role, or is there a general shortage of people wanting to do ...

Re: Spoilers for Thursday 11 September 2008

On the lottery subject I know Dave Ashcroft about as well as anyone outside his family does.. (which isn't saying very much) http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-458284/The-12m-lottery-winner-life-changed-colour-coat.html ... it goes to show that even people who do end up in that highly improbabl...
