Ronan's opponents are looking less like contestants and more like sacrificial lambs at this point as he attempts to have the Octochamp gods bless him with their power... poor Aaron is the second contestant to have been held to less than 15 (and would have ended up with 0 if he hadn't been blessed wi...

Re: Getting back on for a second go
This month marks the tenth anniversary of my appearance on Countdown, and now I'm getting ready to reapply but also nervous for some reason. My first game was against an Octochamp and I didn't acquit myself as well as I feel I could have, and I don't want a repeat of that. AHH!

I have been trying really hard to remember exactly what happened in regards to Joe's first numbers... from what I can recall, after I'd messed up and Nick asked him to declare his working, Joe just stared at the board for several seconds before Nick stopped him and told him he'd taken too long. Thanks Andy for a great recap. As I posted in the spoiler section (not to take away from Joe who's a great player), if I'd had a couple of better letters rounds and wasn't so nervous I might have been able to pull out a win but c'est la vie. Here's a question that's come to mind...
Have the words COUNTDOWN or CONUNDRUM ever popped up in a game (either during the letters or as the conundrum)?

Re: Good news, Gevin!
I agree. None of the game shows that have been tested out have struck me as being particularly memorable. '1001 Things You Should Know' struck me as being about a bland as a game show could get.
Hopefully Channel 4 will move it back, and not just stick a property show in there instead.

I'm guessing that, whenever an Octochamp retires and two newcomers arrive it'll just be random seats instead of a coin toss with the winner deciding if they want to play as Challenger or Champion given it now makes no difference.

I love how that article implies that the earpiece is literally the only thing that saves Susie and the celebrity from downright embarrassment. Wasn't this arti...

Re: Wednesday 13th February 2013 (30th Champs, Round 2, Game
My god... this excitement meter is going off the scale! Great recap for a great game! Thanks James Well, after that brilliant game, tomorrow's game is gonna have to be a double max game or a record-breaking score match to be just as good as today's game. How could you get a double max game? Someone ...
