If you're talking someone describing themselves I believe the difference lies in eating vs the whole of life. However, if you're talking on a menu, then yeah generally they are used interchangeably although some places use a more literal version of plant-based - e.g. an Oreo is vegan, but it is not ...

Definitely shouldn't count. This is Countdowners you've met outside Countdown stuff, I think you'd consider family and friends to be family and friends before you categorise them as Countdowners. If that makes sense.

Part of the problem is probably the word "negative". That seems quite subjective when we're talking really about "tactical" picking. Any negativity can seemingly only be perceived by people other than the picker.
