Well, the bafflingly popular Sir Michael Terence Wogan KBE should have more free time on his hands, now he is leaving his daily breakfast show to be replaced by Chris. With his loyal band of "TOGs" he could bring a sizeable audience of all ages with him. I see he has been on before in 199...

May I be a little sexist here, and also offer up the opinion that it is an attitude more often held by blokes that 'it's OK to say anything to anyone and if they can't take it, they should toughen up'. There's probably an element of tuth in that but I think it's also (indeed perhaps more) a generat...

If Jon Gaunt returns, as I understand he will, I will probably have to stop watching Countdown for a week - which may lead to a total end of it for me, a creature of habit. I do not even want to look at him let alone listen. Sorry Buddy but that's a completely stupid position to take. I don't care ...

Trivia interjection - the reigning Olympic champions at rugby union are the USA. The last time the event was in the Olympics was (I think) 1924 and the USA won the gold medal.

Hobviously we need to ask some really, really old people what they called the 1910s as I'm sure they suffered this same dilemma to distinguish themselves from the dated, has-been technology and trends of the 1900s. I think they called several of them the Great War! Seriously, I don't believe people...
