I think shutting off the monitors is a good idea after a conundrum buzz (esp with an extremely competitive series finals coming up), but turning the conundrum board round seems a bit unnecessary - it's already kind of awkwardly placed for the contestants to see. It's really difficult to compile a list though if you haven't been watching for a significant amount of time. You can look at the stats, sure, but without context in which to couch it in - or a general feel for what the average contestant would be achieving at the same time - I, and probably others ...

I don't really see what the obsession is with trying to determine who the 'best ever' players are anyway. It's going to be more or less entirely arbitrary regardless of what ranking system you implement.
