Re: Spoilers For Monday March 22nd 2010

REDLINE in one of the early rounds for a DC-beater.

Bad luck Kevin, thought you'd come through there especially after he picked 6-small, got a not-too-challenging one and then failed to solve it.

On the other hand, I'm kinda glad they did do it the way they did - if they'd just asked normal questions he probably would have made far less of a tit of himself, and hopefully a lot of stupid people who'd've watched for the first time last night would have come away just thinking he's a moron (no...

Wow, ok I don't particularly want to waste loads of time defending a party I don't even support or like - I guess the point I was trying to make was that not absolutely everything they stand for is racist or homophobic - much of it is, granted. But the way they are perceived in the media, you would...

Here's my best game in a long time: http://www.apterous.org/viewgame.php?game=89969

Not as good statistically as either Aaron's or Liam's (only 9 maxes - 10 if you include the conundrum, but Andrew beat me to it) but it included some really nice spots :)

I'm averaging 81.1 over the last month, with an average of 6.1 maxes.

This has been the easiest way to see my progression actually - for the first month or so I only averaged 73 and 4.5 maxes, so it's satisfying that I have made some progress since then.

Re: Apterous Summer Open Week 3

U1200 vs Jay Murphy: Mark 79-60 Jay A topsy-turvy one - a bad miss from me on a 6-small in round 9 puts Jay back on level terms, and not risking UNBEND for 6 in round 13 was unbelievably stupid on my part, tactically as well as lexicographically. However, Jay got really unlucky on the conundrum when...

Two more in the open against Jay Murphy - equalled my best ever game, both in score and maxes, on the second:

Mark 90-80 Jay
Mark 113-93 Jay

I should add that, as you can see, the first conundrum Jay misspelled and the second one he hit the wrong letter, so he was exceptionally unlucky.
