I just checked and you can have QUIETS for 6. You can also have EQUITES for 7 too. I remember in the mailing list that we worked out what was the longest word(s) you could have which contained at least two letters out of J, Q, X and Z. Ben, how did you find out about Countdown in the past? In reference to what? I watched it as a young child, apparently... demanded that my Gran turned it on if she was ever looking after me for a day... I liked the numbers, you see.
