If something is sub par it means it's not good however sub means under or below and the word par comes from golf, and in golf it's good if you are under par so the expression kind of doesn't make sense.

People who give the middle finger wrong. The correct way is to have a closed fist and then raise the middle finger. The wrong way is only curling the knuckles of the other fingers and you thumb sticking out.

Watched the Michael Flatley movie Blackbird. Was hoping it would be a so bad it's good kind of movie but it was just bad. The opening few scenes raise a chuckle because they're chock full of cliché and there's a hilarious hat switch moment but other then that, it was dull as ditch water.

It's fine for cyclists to break traffic lights. Don't get me wrong, I don't think you should go full pelt through them, I treat red lights like a yield sign rather than a stop sign.
