Just a mini-grump from me on today's duel where I got thrown out after one of the rounds having completed it. When I got back in I've scored a big fat zero with no word being recorded. I only put one in, so it wasn't like there would have been a choice to make.

The letters rounds in today's daily duel (Sun 18th) are three consonants/six vowels. Is that not outwith the rules of Countdown? I thought the max vowels per round was five (and the max consonants six).

N.B. A "typical Bolton goal" is a goal scored from a long throw or a set piece which defenders just can't cope with . Its the secret to our success (or lack of) .
Judging from events at the Britannia on Saturday, Stoke have cottoned on to this tactic pretty well :roll:
