Did Wesley use a 2 that wasn't there in his solution in the first numbers game? I recorded the puzzle as 9,6,2,5,4,6=>666 and I believe he tried to do (6*4*(5-2)+2)*9. Am I mistaken here?

It's a real shame Annie couldn't make it but my view is that if you can't make the recording of your series final then it should just be tough bananas because it's not fair on contestants on the next series to accommodate you. My comment regarding the people going on soon pertained to the 150+ score record, not the kilochamp record. But with regard to the latter, I agree that Brocky is the only reasonably likely shot at 1000.

Nice number crunching, L'oisleatch. And yeah, I think Matthew B will be able to do it if he gets a reasonably high octomax (picking 1 large in the heats would help him). Is he shooting for Series 77?

I think Antoinette Ryan may have had an 1100+ octomax, and that was before the new dictionary update.

My subconscious came up with a 6-small selection in a dream the other night, which I believe was:

2 2 3 4 8 9 => 392

I didn't fully solve it until after I had woken up, but I do believe I managed to factorise the target to 49*8 while still in dreamland.
