Was nowhere near the 728 solution in the 2nd numbers (89% difficulty, and Mark's solution above is the only one that exists!), but I did get 727 as a beater via (75 * (2 + 3) + 1) * 2 - 25.

I think she just meant that she wouldn't have included IRONICAL in the dictionary if it were to have been up to her, because she personally believed the -AL ending was redundant. I never interpreted the comment as meaning that she would have disallowed it.

What a game! Both the highest and lowest scores of the series so far, coupled with a phenomenal winning margin of 110 for Stephen. Let's hope the second half of his (presumably octo-) run brings more such joy.

Ah, figured it didn't fall under your "must tell" rule since the word didn't actually appear in the game. It was MINOXIDIL, which was one letter away from Round 7 as well as being the COLIN XII final conundrum. Did you go?
