Re: Thursday 19th February 2015 (Series 72 Prelim 34)

You've got into a complete muddle with bracketing the numbers rounds.
The solutions given were actually:
R3 - RR: (25-5)x50 - (9-6)
R6 - RR: (59+10+9)x9 + 6
R9 (both): (75+8)x4
R14 - Andy: (7/7+5+2+100)x3
Lou: (100+5)x3 +7+2

Re: Friday 13th February 2015 (Series 72, Prelim 30)

Brackets are needed to make sense of these
R6: RR: 711. (((7 x 7 - 2) x 5 + 2) x 3 (10)
R9: Kevin: 223. ((25 - (9 - 7)) x 10) - 7 (10)

I agree that POUNDER (as in quarter-pounder) seems a bit dodgy, so I can understand Tricia not being confident in risking it - spellcheck is flagging it right now :? After all, having a four-ouncer instead wouldn't validate OUNCER :o However, the word could legitimately refer to a thumper.
