Re: Spoilers for Tuesday, 7th April
On Friday this week my friend Paddy got this read out by Jeff: There once was a lady called Riley, Who’d mastered her figures entirely, Jeff made advances, asked “What are my chances?” “One in a million.” She said to him, dryly. But Jeff didn't say his name. If you comment here: http://mikedunbarcom...

Re: Tastes in comedy
Well the other real geordies keep asking me what country I'm from, Phil.
I'm doing musical comedy now, so it's less of an issue... as I definitely don't sound like Jimmy Nail when I sing.

Re: Tastes in comedy
I went for Marcus Brigstocke out of everyone on the list, but it's a bit tricky making a list like this because you're never going to have a fully representative list. My actual favourite comics (I do number Brigstocke among them) are David O'Doherty, Jon Richardson, and Rhys Darby... none of which ...

A supermarket has renamed 'pollacks', calling it 'colin' instead, because it reckons shoppers are embarrassed by the name. Thank god for that. I've lost count of the number of times I've left supermarkets with bags full of unwanted condoms, haemorrhoid creams and tampons because I'm too embarrassed...

Re: Funniest episode of Countdown, ever
Well it's probably not that funny but when I watched it all last night it was hilarious. I love the challenger's accent and her answering 4 when there are LOADS of long words (including a 5 by sticking an S on it). Also failing to get 2 of the numbers when both were really easy. Needless to say thi...

I have to agree with Brian Blessed! Cracking suggestion. A contestant on last night's Mastermind , having pondered the general knowledge question "In Greek and Roman mythology, who was the muse of dance and lyric poetry?" for a moment and clearly not having a clue, decided to play for lau...

Ah wow!! Didn't know that. Clearly.
I've only really followed it with Susie... back from about... 2003ish onwards. Predictably, while I was at University.

Also David Tennant, and Kate Humble. They're great ones, there.
I think I'd like to see:
Jon Richardson
Neil Hannon
James May
David O' Doherty
and if we had some form of Time Machine P.G. Wodehouse could have been amazing.

Quite an eclectic mix on these boards then!
The song I'm listening to most at the moment is "Glass, Concrete, And Stone" by David Byrne.

No, no, I was just making a joke on the whole thing about Rachel not finding it quite funny enough to prevent her getting a restraining order!Jason Larsen wrote: You're not obsessed with Countdown, are you?

Mike Dunbar. Who are you? Tell us about yourself. Hello, Well I suppose I can't really spam a thread about my song. I'm a 22 year old (Rachel's a few months my senior) Geography graduate. I work in pub at the moment which I don't like. Last December I started doing stand-up comedy, but a couple of ...

Hello, Just found this lovely forum. I'm the chap who wrote the song that's been linked to above. I just popped by to say that I'm not that hip.
