Apologies guys about the "X" word but it is XEROPHAGY but I got my words from the Shorter Oxford Dictionary. Ideograph is correct. I hope the other ones you guys haven't got are in the proper dictionary!

Yes gavin I see where you are coming from but at least it adds a litte bit of humour to the show (even if its not that funny!) as my school mates see the show as boring! Mind you, some of the words jo brand and richard digance make up are probably perceived as real words by some of my ditsy classmat...

Do you know on what specific day the countdown PC game is going to be in Howard? The Times is too high up the socio-economic scale for me and I usually buy The sun or The Daily Star!

Doesn't look like it, Bryan. Am I the only one who was trailing 0-18 to Des O'Connor after round one? :oops: Nope, I didn't see that 9 either, but very well done to Des for spotting it. It seems that im the only one who actually spotted that 9 :P But i am not sure whether I would have risked it!

In round 2 you can have OESTRIN - which is only a seven but its still an interesting one. Also according to my shorter ODE i have discovered that ROUTINERS is applicable although it is rare. There is also ABRADES, AIRLINES,URETHRA and HOAXED in rounds 3,11,12 and 13 respectively

I know that they have done this in the past but should they bring a celebrity edition back once every 2 or 3 years - like the Champion of Champions series. I'm with you Jason, Countdown should be on 6 days a week. Although, I would struggle to watch it on Saturdays if my beloved Bolton Wanderers FC are playing at home !
